Hi, my name is Melisa LaVergne. I’m knock-kneed, pigeon-toed and near-sighted, but I love fun activities in the outdoors. That combination is occasionally hilarious or at least mildly entertaining. This blog is about my adventures — outdoors and otherwise, but mostly outdoors.
My frequent tour guide and live-in love is Todd. He can build a new computer, prepare a gorgeous meal, take me rock climbing and make me giggle until I almost pee myself all in the same day.
Todd and I have a crew of mini-Mels and teeny-Todds, ages 13, 12, 11 and 10 — two mine and two his. Our house overflows with love and tween drama, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
My secretary and frequent adventure sidekick is small, black and furry. Her name is Lola. She’s terrible at filing, answering the phone and making coffee, but she can fetch a ball better than anyone I know. And when I’m writing or working, she’s almost always close by for snuggles of encouragement.
